Den Hartogh welcomes its 2,500th Volvo truck

Rotterdam, 7 September 2026 - Royal Den Hartogh Logistics has reached a special milestone together with Volvo Trucks and Volvo Group Truck Center: the delivery of its 2,500th Volvo truck. To mark the occasion, a unique anniversary-edition Volvo FH Aero was created and officially handed over to Den Hartogh in the presence of representatives from Volvo Trucks, Volvo Group Truck Center and Den Hartogh.

The milestone reflects a long-standing partnership founded on shared values including safety, reliability, innovation and operational excellence. Over the years, this collaboration has supported Den Hartogh’s transport operations and contributed to the continuous improvement of its fleet.

A special anniversary edition
The 2,500th truck is a Volvo FH Aero equipped with a Turbo Compound engine. Designed for fuel-efficient long-distance transport, the model is a fitting choice for this special milestone.

Following the official handover, Pieter den Hartogh presented the keys to Dutch driver Ronald van Goor. Ronald has worked at Den Hartogh for 39 years and has held various driving roles throughout his career. He also serves as a mentor driver, using his knowledge and experience to guide and support new drivers.

Known throughout the organisation for his commitment, professionalism and supportive attitude, Ronald represents the dedication and expertise of the people who keep Den Hartogh moving every day.
