Barneveld, 28 September 2026 - Den Hartogh's Business Unit Liquid Food scored 87% in its 2026 SQAS assessment. That is a significant step up from the last assessment in 2022.
SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment for Sustainability) is the European chemical industry's independent assessment of logistics providers. It looks at how we manage safety, quality, environmental performance, security and sustainability. For our customers, it is an objective measure of how we work.
Since joining Den Hartogh in 2024, the Liquid Food teams have worked hard to bring safety, quality and sustainability in line with Den Hartogh standards. This result shows that work is paying off.
The biggest step forward was in CO₂ management. In 2022 it was one of the weakest areas. Today it is one of the strongest. That matters to the customers who trust us with their food-grade products and share our goal of more sustainable logistics.
We are not done. The assessment also points to where we can still improve, and we are already working on it. Our next target: 90% or higher at the next SQAS assessment.
