Rotterdam, 9 July 2026 - Royal Den Hartogh Logistics has retained its EcoVadis Gold medal after increasing its overall sustainability score from 75 to 83 points. The result places the international bulk logistics service provider among the top 5% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis.
EcoVadis is one of the world's leading providers of business sustainability ratings and assesses companies across four key themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
Den Hartogh achieved the higher score at a time when EcoVadis continues to raise its assessment standards and medal thresholds. Retaining Gold under increasingly demanding criteria underlines the company's continued progress in sustainability and responsible business practices.
"Achieving a score of 83 and retaining our Gold medal is a result we can be proud of. The EcoVadis assessment continues to become more demanding, which makes this improvement particularly meaningful. It reflects the combined efforts of many colleagues and teams across Den Hartogh and our ongoing focus on improving the way we operate," says Erik Goverde, Programme Manager SHEQ at Royal Den Hartogh Logistics.
Sustainability as part of Den Hartogh's strategy
Environmental Sustainability is one of the five pillars of Den Hartogh's SPECE strategy, alongside Safety, Profitable Growth, Employee Engagement and Customer Satisfaction. Sustainability is therefore embedded in the company's long-term strategic direction and operations.
Independent assessments such as EcoVadis provide customers and other stakeholders with greater transparency into Den Hartogh's sustainability performance and offer external recognition of the company's progress.
"The Gold medal recognises the progress we have made, but expectations continue to develop. We will continue working across our organisation to further strengthen our sustainability performance and contribute to smarter and more responsible supply chains," Goverde adds.
